OVERFILL ALARM SOLUTION - THE WHY

All Liquids have a Unique Acoustic Fingerprint. This principal is not platform-dependent. The same acoustic technology applied in the case of Overfill Detection allows for the detection of fluid levels in large tanks (containers). Overfill, a global problem, cause of billions of dollars in loss annually and carries with it an immense impact on local environment is something relatively simple and effectively measured without intrusive, permanent or expensive methods. Exterior mounted sensors strategically placed at High and Low intervals provide volume readings in addition to content verification.

ULTRASONIC TECHNOLOGY - THE HOW

In the instances involving large drums (ie. Large Tanks, Tankers, Oil Drums, etc.)

Orientation, Alignment is Critical, but essential ultrasonic energy travels through the container wall-liquid-wall configuration and is received by a transducer.

Sound field is modified by the container walls and the liquid where density, viscosity, elasticity, compressibility, and temperature play key roles in influencing the velocity and relative attenuation

On-site units collect data, determine content / status and transmit readings.

SoundData™ is collected and decifered. Database is updated and sequenced.

Reports issued real-time to field management at preset conditional stages.

ALARM-ID™ - OVERFILL AND UNDERFILL PROTECTION

Provides an alarm point when the identified liquid passes the sensor level either up or down. Units are available with optional extended internal / removable battery or solar-powered.

THE ALTERNATIVE

1 MAINTAIN CURRENT OPERATING PROCEDURES or

2 CHOOSE A MORE EXPENSIVE OPTION:

VOID TANK and EXPENSIVE INSTALLATION

Depending on Tank Type / Capacity, some current solutions involve voiding / emptying tank of all liquid content upon installation. An invasive unit is installed for monitoring:

PST_AlternateIconsWide_TanktoTank.png

Displace 100/1000s of Barrels. Requires full emptying of Tank for installation.

PST_AlternateIcons_EmptyTank.png

Costly Maintenance. System requires invasive hardware subject to regular system checks.
